Liz

Project Manager

Greetings, humans and photosynthesizing lifeforms alike. I'm Liz(ard). I have an advanced degree in biology and live a double life as scientist, but as soon as I ditch the lab coat I spend my days wrangling the creative types at Salad Design, which can be like herding caffeinated squirrels some days. My lab-honed attention to detail? Well, I’ll be the one to design an experiment to determine if that shade of 'ecru' is actually ecru, otherwise the creative types here could argue about it for hours, as if they are on some quirky family sitcom. That’s part of the charm though, and also why I can say that this is the first company I’ve ever worked for where company calls are hugely entertaining and hilarious. There is absolutely no talk of TPS Reports around these parts.

When not listening to color palette disputes and getting shit done with my superpower - being the superuser of our project management software - I'm communing with nature. I love hiking, gardening, talking to plants, whatever gets me away from being under a ceiling. I’ve really started to deep dive into gardening lately, and also have a rather large collection of indoor plant friends, because. You might call them a pervasive jungle, or, if you're a buzzkill, a potential fire hazard, but I love my plants all the same.

My menagerie includes three cats who judge you for having an extra glass of wine before feeding them, two snakes who judge your weight to see if you’ll fit in their belly, and a dog who doesn’t know what judgement is and just wants belly rubs. Oh, and a daughter and husband that are definitely my favorites of the bunch.

Perhaps the best part of the gig is simply that there’s no judgement at all around here. I’m allowed to just be me. It’s so hard to find a working environment that allows that these days. Salad is like my second family, a group of delightfully endearing people that make me smile and laugh every day.
