June Playlist Drop

We're thrilled to announce the upcoming release of our LiNE series speakers and subwoofers! To celebrate, we've curated a diverse playlist showcasing their exceptional capabilities. From spoken word and Disney classics to iconic jazz tunes and electronic music, this playlist truly highlights the LiNE series' versatility.

These speakers, originally designed by our lead engineer, Matt, were previously sold as a kit to a Washington State-based hifi company. Now, we're exclusively hand-building and selling them as complete units right here in the US, infused with the "Salad touch."

The LiNE speakers are uniquely sized, falling between traditional tower and bookshelf speakers. Their innovative design allows them to produce a sound far larger than their stature suggests, while still making a significant design statement in any room. For added flexibility, they can also be wall-mounted.

Personally, I've found them exceptional for acoustic, classical, jazz, and female vocal-driven music. Certain electronic artists like Hania Rani, Olafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm, and Boards of Canada create a truly transcendental experience on these speakers. While artists like Aphex Twin and Autechre might demand a sub with less clarity and more raw impact, the LiNE subs truly shine in their precision.

Compared to larger traditional active subs that can vibrate your body like you’re riding around in a car with square wheels, our transmission line subs are all about clarity. I can now feel every pluck of an upright bass in jazz classics like "Monk's Dream" and discern the character of kicks in my favorite Beatles and Beach Boys tunes with unprecedented clarity. The lower octaves of Nils Frahm's Juno synth hit with chest-thumping presence while retaining the sizzle of analog oscillators.

We couldn't be more excited to share these with you. Matt's engineering is truly incredible. We'll have more information on the LiNE series very soon, but in the meantime, enjoy the playlist!

-Andy
