SA-XC Turntable Update

Big news! We're incredibly excited to share the tremendous strides we've made on the SA-XC Turntable this past month. We've finally brought our vision to life with the first fully Salad made prototype, complete with all our custom-engineered parts. Getting here was quite the odyssey; we poured just as much, if not more, effort into finding the perfect manufacturing partners as we did perfecting every detail in our CAD software. But seeing the SA-XC come together as such a substantial piece of gear makes all that hard work and waiting absolutely worthwhile.

Every detail of the SA-XC reflects thoughtful engineering. Our substantial, 5+ lb platter, for instance, is precisely matched with a powerful US made Hurst motor delivering the extra torque needed for optimal performance. Critical to its adaptability is the fully adjustable tonearm, engineered to provide compatibility with virtually any cartridge, mat, or vinyl thickness. This empowers users to achieve a truly bespoke setup, aligning with our foundational vision for the SA-XC: a turntable designed from the ground up for continuous upgrades and modifications to perfectly suit each owner's evolving preferences.

Perhaps most importantly for us, it’s passing the vibe test with flying colors. Building a turntable with exceptional performance and quality materials was never in question, for us the real challenge was nailing the vibe. Does the turntable make us happy to look at while enjoying our collection? Do we catch ourselves checking it out each time we walk by? Does the tactile interaction with it bring us joy? Yes, yes, and hell yes.

Thanks for stopping by to follow us on this journey. In the next update in a week or two we will go deep into the details we are working on perfecting and the small adjustments we are making for performance. We know that every single aspect of the turntable needs to be perfect, there isn’t anything we are just slapping on because the price is right or because its just the easiest part to source.

If you have any questions for us along the way we would love to hear from you. Just drop us a line from our contact page and let us know what’s up.
